In recent days we have worked on a project of enormous dimensions: the assembly of the first offshore wind turbine technology exclusively Spanish.

The pieces of this engineering marvel have reached the port of Arinaga from Bilbao. The structure assembly was carried out at the port itself, with several cranes and trucks from our fleet.
This structure is an R&D project by spanish multinational company Gamesa, who chose this canary port for testing this prototype of offshore wind turbine, called “G-128”. The performance of this first prototype will serve as learning experience for the production and export of offshore wind turbines, one of the booming industries with continuous technological advances.
Huge measures
With 160 meters high, its three blades create a diameter of 128 meters. Each of the blades is 62.5 meters, they weigh 15 tons and to date they are the longest ones created in Spain.
When operational, the wind turbine will have a 5,000 kW power, becoming the most powerful one of the island and it is 10 times more powerful than a normal wind turbine.
This project adds to others that we have carried out in the wind energy market. Thanks to our team of professionals with extensive experience in transportation and lifting of structures, combined with a fleet of cranes and trucks at the forefront of the industry, this project has come to perfection.
